Louise Hay’s methods and positive beliefs have helped millions improve their lives, bringing more wellness to their bodies, minds, and spirits. Her own life was marked by hardship from a young age. Growing up in a tough environment, she faced instability and poverty and endured abuse during her teenage years. Despite these challenges, she eventually moved to New York City, where she pursued a career in modeling and married a successful businessman.

However, it wasn’t until her marriage ended after 14 years that Louise’s true healing journey began. In 1970, she started attending meetings at the Church of Religious Science in New York City and began training in their ministerial program. Becoming a popular speaker and counselor at the church, she soon turned this into a full-time career.
After years of working with clients, Louise compiled a guide detailing how mental states can affect physical health, along with positive thought patterns for reversing illness and promoting health. This guide became the basis for her book, “Heal Your Body,” affectionately known as “The Little Blue Book.” Louise traveled across the United States, giving lectures and workshops on self-love and healing.
Her philosophy was put to the test when she was diagnosed with cancer. Instead of opting for surgery and drugs, Louise developed a rigorous program of affirmations, visualization, nutritional cleansing, and psychotherapy.
